Lamb Burgers

Juicy Lamb Burgers with sides

Ingredients

  • Lamb mince - 1 kg (you can use minced chicken/pork or beef)
  • Sashi’s Chicken Masala - 1 tbsp
  • Sashi’s Garam Masala - ½ tbsp
  • Salt - 1½ tsp (adjust to taste)
  • Turmeric - ½ tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Minced/grated ginger - 1½ tsp
  • Minced garlic - 2 tsp
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Mint leaves - 8 sprigs, finely chopped (optional, lamb only)

Cooking Method

  1. Add the mince and all other ingredients to a large bowl.
  2. Combine well, form 8 patties, and place on a tray.
  3. Refrigerate for a couple of hours or overnight. (Remove from the fridge a couple of hours before cooking - optional but ideal.)
  4. Cook using your preferred method - oven, pan, BBQ, or air fryer - to your preferred doneness.

Points to Remember

  • Substitute the meat for soya mince for a vegetarian/vegan option; blend the soya mince to make it finer and easier to bind. (Add 2 eggs for the vegetarian version if you need extra binding.)
  • Cooking method and time should be to your preference.
